For the moment, if you still need space for May, we have to check case by case and quote case by case based on space status. And for June, all shipping lines are going to increase again, and yes, their tendency is to push GRI per week. Today we received a verbal notification from EMC that they plan to increase USD 1800/box for the first week of June based on the current level rate.
PIL issued a very high FAK rate, around USD 5000/40HQ for the first week of June too (they might adjust later, but for the moment they sent this rate). So please remind all customers that the situation for June will be more serious with a shortage of space. The solution is: please inform your team to talk with all customers if they have any loading plan in June; they must arrange booking now!
To secure space on hand and in this way also should apply a better offer. Do not wait until cargo is ready to seek space; that moment is late and will apply a very high rate that is not worthy!
